Biography
Dr. Jaclyn Asouzu Johnson is a Lecturer and Researcher in the Department of Anatomical Sciences at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. Her research interests include cardiotoxicity and neurotoxicity research areas. She obtained her PhD and M.Sc. degrees in Anatomy from University of the Witwatersrand. She subsequently pursued postdoctoral research experience with the Department of Surgery at the same institution.
Dr. Johnson’s academic work focuses on the role of the endothelium in environmental, therapeutic and lifestyle induced toxicity and histopathology. She has contributed to several original publications, projects, conference presentation awards, and academic initiatives. Her current work aims to advance knowledge in histopathology and strengthen research, teaching, and collaboration within the University of the Witwatersrand and the broader academic community.

I am interested in working with researchers with integrative approach for transitioning pathology toward a more predictive, mechanistically driven discipline that bridges basic science with clinical impact.
